Chorus Education Trust

Sheffield, UK, June 2020 – Present. Non-executive Director and Trustee of Chorus Education Trust, a Multi-Academy Trust structured as a charitable company limited by guarantee. Since June 2022 I have also served as Chair of the Board.

Chorus Education Trust operates four secondary schools, one primary school, a teacher education hub and national modern languages teaching centre. The board is responsible for the overall governance of the organisation; appointment of senior executive leadership; holding executive management to account for the development and execution of strategy and delivery of good educational outcomes, and provides oversight of financial management to ensure value for money in the use of public funds. I am currently a member of the Resources (Audit and Finance) Committee, the School Improvement (Strategy) Committee and a committee formed to support due diligence during a period of strategic expansion. I have served on interview panels for appointment of senior leadership roles and new Trustees.

Sheffield, UK, May 2020 – Present. Director and Chief Executive of management consulting and business services provider. Responsible for company compliance, strategy, operation and day-to-day administration.

St. James Court Management Company (Norton) Ltd.

Sheffield, UK, August 2016 – October 2020. Non-executive Director of resident’s management company for property development. Responsible for appointment of Managing Agent, financial oversight and governance.

Clariant Oil Services UK Ltd.

Aberdeen, UK, April 2018 – January 2019. Board Member and General Manger of company manufacturing and supplying oilfield chemicals and technical services to the North Sea market. Ensured that legal entity was financially stable and compliant with applicable legal requirements. Responsible for risk management of COMAH registered site. Developed and executed business strategy. Reviewed financial performance and plans.
